I set this up just in case any wandering daffos happen into Tribe and do a search. "Here we are~!" kinda thing.

Updates and blah blah
Mon, February 9, 2004 - 4:31 PMThanks a gazillion to Z(yem) for awesome administrative acumen during recent IAG rupture. Very cool: you got the job. >:)
Thanks and "word up" to Kat; good to have you onboard; hopefully you'll get to see a show sooner or later - according to the High Chamberlain IAG will be revving up again in late March.
Other venues, anyone? The Flower is annoyed with corporeality and wishes to eat a part of it. We have a show ready to go: there are "Fellows" at the Eyedrum who have been wanting to see us perform there since its origins - maybe we should condescend to oblige them.....anybody else? Ideas? So forth? -

Re: Updates and blah blah
Mon, February 9, 2004 - 8:38 PMYesh yesh Eyedrum would be an excellent choice! Aw, too now proud to play the art-house are we? Getting used to the heavy-metal poolhalls? Book that puppy now! -

Re: "Pride Goeth Before Ye Apathy"
Mon, February 9, 2004 - 10:42 PMOr y'know, a better way to put it would be:
"If you rely on Freign For Promotions and Management You'll Get A Heavy Metal Pool Hall at Three In The Morning"
there's a lot of stuff I really excel at - one of them isn't booking, sorry. :(
If you take a grim look at my life as you know it I bet you'll see how that simple fact manifests itself in just about every art/professional aspect of my history so far. It's a failing - but worse by far when I attempt to overcome it. Like " a little bit of surgery", some things are best left unlearned.
Maxim For Health:
"Get Someone Other Than Freign To Do The Booking"
in lieu of
"Make Do with Weird Gigs at the place of Whomever Calls Freign"
Actually - it was D. Lyons, anyway, who 'booked' that IAG gig. If he hadn't done that little bit of legwork/etc. motivated solely by his own quirky desire for us to perform, not even that would have happened.
I guess the deal is just that I don't make phone calls, really.
The way I see it, if someone wanted to book a daffodil gig, they could make the pitch to the group as they saw fit. Shit: *scam* us already. Tell us it's a free show but keep the door. Something. i dunno. Dramma.

Re: Updates and blah blah
Mon, February 9, 2004 - 11:09 PMthank you.
I forgot to mention earlier that I ran into Michael earlier today. he is enthusiastic about doing our upcoming show with us, but said his descision of to participate or not would be based on timing; as he's involved in two other upcoming shows at the center.
As the Patriarch of the show, and our resident hypnotist, I suggest that you, Freign speak with him about it.
If it is asked of me, I will call clubs etc; and attempt to book our upcoming shows. I attach no ego to this task, and would accept it with the utmost honor and humility.

While breakfasting in Cabbagetown, ChuChu and I ran into one Mr. Ted
Nation, who had plenty of good news!
The IAG is scheduled to re-open Feb. 21. They will have their liquor
license as well as the "back building" on the property (which they
will OWN), which apparently has a legal occupancy of 2,500 persons.
Ted also told us that they would like to have us back sometime in
late March. -
