The Hungry Flower is angry at me for not having worked hard enough to obtain a 'house' for it. It's a weird flower, on that wants a goddamn house. It doesn't need a bathroom or a bed (though we might like it to have those all the same)...
...any ideas? Past Daffohabitations have always morphed into communes (Sampson St., Celestial Quarters, Celestial Garden) or hateful roommate situations (Celestial Compound near the end there) - I suggest members *don't have to* live together... shit we all grown up now anyways. Who the hell would wanna live like a fuckin hippy teen anyway? Fuck that.
No; I'm thinking along the lines of rehearsal, storage, fabrication, recording/filming space. Dues? That whole concept sucks ass, IMO but if the group is capable of that, maybe... but there's got to be a way to get this together. It would make a big difference to have a place to go, for one thing, all the time - late at night, that sort of thing.

I'm ,as you say, not really into constant hippie compound living; But I wouldn't mind being the one who stays and keeps everything safe when everyone else goes home. In this scenerio, it would have to have amenities.
I'm currently trying to figure out where to go and when, as I have just landed (just this morning) A steady freelance gig that will get me $100/day one day a week. with a guarenteed $400/month, plus whatever else I can get with all that time, and whatever overflow I get from my sister; things look good (finally)
I havn't decided what to do yet; but I have decided to sit on the situation for at least a month, and save a little cash. Discuss amongst yourselves... -

Wouldn't it be great, though, on the tip of ruminating about things that would increase the likelihood of other people wanting to house the Flower, to have a place that we could use as *venue* as well as rehearsal. That kind of control is really what I see as being innate to the level of excellence that we're striving for. -

If such a space could be found, that others would be willing to help maintain, I would pay the largest share for my occupancy. If it could make up what amounts to an apartment, a workshop and a storage area, but have a big backyard we could turn into a performance area, say by converting a Back porch into a stage; It would certainly be Ideal.
Think about what we could do with a near unlimited time to set and prepare the performance area. <drool> -

I don't want to take a step further down. However, should I get a small apartment, we could all get a warehouse space together. that would, however, be expensive. -

The units have sinks and toilets; as i recall Randy&Charlie's space had a shower; don't recall if Grady's did or not -

Mon, March 15, 2004 - 1:23 PMGady had a toilet and a hose. all a part of rich boy pseudo suffering. as I was not raised rich, I have no desire to bathe with a hose. If I end up a part of the deal as custodian, a Functional bathroom with shower (and hot water) and a functional kitchen with stove and fridge will be requirments.
I'm going to start thinking about what to do very soon.
